Drunken BBQ’d Chicken
Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 lb roaster chicken
  • 1 can beer (I use Coors)
  • Golden Toad Prime Steak Rub
  • Golden Toad Chipotle BBQ Finishing Sauce

Preparation

  • Rinse chicken thoroughly
  • Season inside and out with Golden Toad Prime Steak Rub
  • Using a can opener, open a beer can (several openings)
  • Place chicken upright on can, so can is inside chicken cavity
  • Place on a shallow pan and grill “standing up” at 350° for about 20 minutes per pound or until the internal temperature of the chicken is at 180° (this can also be done in an oven)
  • Glaze with Golden Toad Chipotle BBQ Finishing Sauce and finish for 5-10 minutes
  • Remove from grill and beer can and let the bird rest
  • Cut in half and Serve
  • Enjoy!
